Sunny Washington has her work cut out for her and she knows it. "The United States needs more than a million more students graduating with STEM degrees" to meet the projected needs, she explains. "The United States is ranked 24th in math and 21st in science education worldwide." She notes that “74 percent of girls are interested in science, yet less than 15 percent of girls go on to pursue science careers.” Sunny leads Ardusat, an education technology company that allows students to conduct experiments in space using small satellites. The mission of Ardusat is to get more kids interested in STEM fields. Please consider whether a friend or colleague might benefit from this piece and, if so, share it.
