Enjoyed listening to the interview with Michelle Goldshlag; as a college professor and one who teaches intercultural communication, her efforts are spot-on. Rather than these children feeling that they are weird, different, or do not fit in, they truly need to understand their unique culture is a strength and the differentiation can set them apart from others with a skill-set that can be empowering. Less emphasis on being "like everyone else" and more introspective reflection on being "like you" and know there is only ONE you.

That is such an important observation. I loved that she saw the need to help students find their superpowers as part of the program.
