Whatever your focus for having impact, The Super Crowd, Inc. is working to help build the community that will support it. There are real, tangible opportunities for impact investing with genuine care for financial returns along with social impact to be realized via crowdfunding.
Local Investing
Local communities can be improved in dramatic ways with community-funded investments, giving ownership and profits to members of the community who will benefit from the new business. Whether that business is a restaurant, affordable housing or supermarket in a food desert, local communities are strengthened.
The Super Crowd, Inc., works with nonprofits and social enterprises across the country to support local community builders.
Supporting Social Entrepreneurs
Social entrepreneurs work to solve or address a wide variety of problems. Investors often choose favorite arenas to address. For instance, I focus on three broad areas of social enterprise that encompass a wide variety of others: climate change solutions, poverty and social justice enterprises and global health projects.
The Super Crowd, Inc. supports social entrepreneurs by helping investors learn how to invest effectively via crowdfunding and by connecting investors and entrepreneurs at events.
Backing Diverse Founders
If you’re not a well-educated white man working in Silicon Valley, New York, or perhaps Boston, you may be disadvantaged in the capital markets. This is especially true for women seeking venture capital—only about two percent of venture capital goes to women-founded and led companies. The trend is not improving. Minorities are often faced with subtle (and not-so-subtle forms of discrimination) in capital markets.
Crowdfunding is proving to be a more ready source of capital for some diverse founders. The Super Crowd, Inc. engages directly with diverse founders to better understand their individual situations and to support their efforts at raising capital.
A Public Benefit Corporation
The Super Crowd, Inc. is organized as a public benefit corporation in Delaware. In almost every regard, the company operates under rules virtually identical to ordinary corporations. The difference is that public benefit corporations are required to publicly disclose a purpose that guides the company and that serves as a business objective parallel in importance to generating a profit.
At TSCI, we are committed to building a profitable enterprise that serves the greater good.
Offering Closing Soon
Regulation crowdfunding prevents issuers like TSCI from disclosing terms of an offering in the same communication in which business details are shared. The offering’s closing date is considered a deal term. Our offering ends very soon; in fact, it ends with a month that rhymes with soon, tune and dune. Don’t miss the opportunity to invest!
