After a wonderful evening in San Francisco, I’ll keep this morning’s post brief.
What an honor! Tonight in San Francisco, I attended my first Substack "Bestsellers" event. Substack's founders were all there to meet and hear from us. I had the opportunity to visit personally and individually with Hamish McKenzie, the Chief Writing Officer. Our fellow Substack author, award-winning journalist Amanda Royal, who writes Earth Hope🌎, joined in.
I also had the chance to meet and chat with Chris Best, the founder and CEO. I was impressed by how he pressed me to learn what the company could do better. Frankly, I confessed, "Nothing!"
I even got a chance to chat with Jairaj Sethi. We compared notes on coding with Claude. He, too, pressed me for constructive feedback. I told him what I told Chris.
It was fun chatting about AI with Abhijay Arora Vuyyuru, who writes the AI Action Letter (and runs YouTube on TV for Google). While I hate to put words in his mouth, he was genuinely impressed with the SuperCrowd tech stack and ecosystem.
It was a delightful evening. I'm grateful for the readers, especially our "Impact Members" who delivered the bestseller status that got me invited to this little soirée. I'm also grateful for my colleague Chandan Saha, who does so much great work to help me write, edit and produce great content.
