Wayback Burgers Celebrates ‘Giving Tuesday’ for Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Popular Fast-Casual Burger Brand Will Donate 10 Percent of its Sales on December 3
Press Release – NEWARK, Del. – (November 25, 2019) – Wayback Burgers, America’s favorite hometown burger joint and one of the nation’s fastest-growing burger franchises will hold a Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) fundraiser on December 3 to celebrate “Giving Tuesday.” On this day, 10 percent of sales from all restaurants will go to BGCA.
The Giving Tuesday fundraiser continues the brand’s growing partnership with the non-profit organization, which began in July 2018.
“We are working toward the goal of raising more than $100,000 for BGCA for the year, after having raised more than $150,000 in our first year partnering,” said Pat Conlin, president of Wayback Burgers.
In addition to the financial aspects of raising funds for the work of BGCA, Wayback Burgers’ partnership has fostered an initiative to develop important work and life skills that are necessary in developing BGCA kids into young adults.
Giving Tuesday is one of two fundraising events Wayback Burgers hosts annually on behalf of BGCA. The other, the Back2School campaign held in August, highlights BGCA’s emphasis on addressing the crucial after-school hours for kids and teens as they return to school. Wayback Burgers also donates 10 percent of the day’s sales at participating restaurants for this initiative.
“We are thrilled to continue working together with BGCA to help fund programs that uplift youth,” Conlin said. “BGCA truly changes the lives of youth by giving them opportunities to not just learn but to have hands-on experience and take their next steps toward a fulfilling life.”
