Piyush Jain and his wife Khushboo Jain always wanted to be entrepreneurs. Four years ago, they saw the need they could fill, helping to organize crowdfunding campaigns for social needs in their country of India.

What is the purpose of your crowdfunding platform?
The ability to impact 100,000 lives, mobilize the business to over 1.3 billion Rupees across 15 countries and train over 1,000 nonprofits to crowdfund is our greatest accomplishment.
ImpactGuru.com is on a mission to make healthcare accessible to all and save more lives. We aim to raise crowdfunding awareness among hospitals, doctors, medical practitioners and build partnerships with healthcare startups. This community can thereby empower thousands of patients with the funds they need.
A dedicated crowdfunding helpdesk service next to the billing department at hospitals will help us increase the level of awareness of medical crowdfunding solutions as they refer their patients to us – particularly cancer, transplant, and pediatric cases.
Say in a decade from now, we hope for crowdfunding to become mainstream and be easily accessed by anyone in India. We hope we can continue to help individuals raise medical treatment costs and aid NGOs with project-based financial support to eradicate poverty, educate our children, empower girls and women and support other causes.

We built an AI-supported storybuilder for medical fundraisers, with a template for all campaigners to develop their own standardized campaign stories. We are the only crowdfunding platform to have their own storybuilder to help customers write great stories as it’s a major pain point in the industry today.
We are also the first crowdfunding player in India to launch a smartphone app for customers with the Android app already available for download. The Android app presents the user with a quick view of their fundraiser, thus enabling them to keep track of the progress of the campaign, get real-time donation notifications, and post updates.
We have initiated a one-of-a-kind program #DoctorsForGood for medical practitioners across India. The objective behind the initiative is to provide a platform for enrolled doctors to refer patients who are in need of funds for their treatment. Khushboo Jain co-founded crowdfunding platform ImpactGuru in July 2014 and has served since as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. In addition, she heads Impact Guru’s Communications, Design and Brand teams. Khushboo Jain is actively involved in the company’s marketing and communications strategies, community building activities, the ImpactGuru product users’ experience, and with Impact Guru’s work with nonprofits.
Khushboo Jain is alumna of Sydenham College, Mumbai, where she studied Business Management, and WE Business School – Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, where she earned an MBA with a focus in Marketing. She went on to study fashion at the London College of Fashion and at Parsons the New School of Design in New York, where she honed her skills in Fashion Management & Merchandising.
Prior to co-founding ImpactGuru, Khushboo Jain has worked as a fashion marketer for Valiram in Singapore, handling a brand portfolio that included Hackett, La Martina, and Jimmy Choo, liaising closely with the press. She has also worked with celebrity Indian designer Manish Malhotra in a fashion merchandising and buying role, and at another with actor/model/designer Malaika Arora Khan’s The Closet Label (now The Label Life).
