I’m not a financial advisor; nothing I write in Superpowers for Good should be considered investment advice. You should seek appropriate counsel before making investment decisions.

As we gear up for the 1:00 PM Eastern, June 17, 2025, meeting of the Impact Cherub Club, we invite you to join us. The club meets to review impact investments that everyone is eligible to make and that virtually anyone can afford. We share responsibility for completing basic due diligence before making investments. While members are encouraged to invest in the Club’s picks, no one is required to invest.
The Club is open to all “Impact Members” of the SuperCrowd (our paying subscribers). I don’t touch the money members invest. They do so directly for their own accounts. We benefit from new members by the fresh perspectives they bring and our growing social impact. Please join us!
Next Meeting—June 17, at 1:00 PM Eastern
At our next meeting on June 17, at 1:00 PM Eastern/10:00 AM Pacific, consistent with our plans for future sessions, the agenda will have three items:
Diligence Reports
Post Mortem
Preliminary Consideration of New Candidate Investments
I’ll review those items in reverse order.
New Company Consideration
After some preliminary screening, I’ve shared some candidate offerings with the members of the club to choose which we’ll review this month. Members chose the following:
Neopenda
Neopenda is raising capital on Wefunder to scale its life-saving medical technology for emerging markets, starting with Africa. This impact-driven company has developed NeoGuard, a low-cost, wearable vital signs monitor designed specifically for newborns in overcrowded hospitals. With traction in Uganda and partnerships with leading health organizations, Neopenda is tackling the tragic problem of preventable infant deaths with scalable, tech-enabled care. The team combines public health expertise with engineering prowess and a mission-first mindset. This raise helps them expand distribution, grow revenue, and bring their innovative solution to more hospitals where it's most needed. A compelling blend of purpose and potential.
Red Line Safety
Red Line Safety is raising on Wefunder to revolutionize emergency response with its patented tech that helps save lives in real time. Their wireless, portable system allows first responders to locate people trapped in buildings—like schools, offices, or apartment complexes—with speed and precision. With real-world deployments already underway and strong interest from major agencies, Red Line is turning proven innovation into public safety infrastructure. Led by a team of seasoned entrepreneurs and technologists, they’re addressing a massive, urgent problem with scalable hardware and software. This raise supports production, growth, and broader deployment. It’s a bold move to modernize rescue operations.
Short-Fuse Offering
Each month, we spotlight a “short fuse” offering—an investment opportunity with a tight fundraising deadline, often closing within a few weeks. These offerings don’t allow for our usual two-month, two-meeting review process, which includes an initial discussion followed by a final vote. Most short-fuse deals are small business loans that offer attractive financial returns while also allowing us to support community builders, social entrepreneurs, and underrepresented founders making a meaningful impact.
Due Diligence Software Introduction
Imagine opening an app that instantly makes you feel like a seasoned investor—no spreadsheets, no dense filings, just clear, confident insight at your fingertips. With just a few taps, you’re gliding through beautifully summarized deal overviews, easily comparing opportunities based on impact, management strength, and risk—all presented in plain language, not legalese. Instead of digging through pages of SEC filings, the app brings the highlights to the surface, letting you focus on what matters most: whether this is a deal worth your time, your money, and your mission. It’s like having a personal investment analyst in your pocket—ready when you are. At the meeting, we’ll introduce the Cherubs to the new software.
Diligence Reports
We’ll begin with the due diligence reports from the Impact Cherub Club members who volunteered to research the companies after we briefly learned a bit about them last month. After hearing the members’ reports, we’ll vote to determine whether or not to recommend investment in the companies. The decision will be made available to all Impact Cherub Club members, including those who don’t attend this month. Register here.
Here are the companies we’ll learn more about this month:
PittMoss
PittMoss is transforming the gardening industry with its innovative, peat-free soil products made from recycled paper and cardboard. These sustainable alternatives not only outperform traditional peat-based mixes in plant growth but also significantly reduce water and fertilizer usage. Since its inception in 2014, PittMoss has saved over 39 million gallons of water and prevented nearly 20,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions. Recognized by major publications like Better Homes & Gardens, the company has generated over $5 million in revenue and continues to expand its reach among nurseries, greenhouses, and commercial growers. Investing in PittMoss supports a greener planet and a thriving business. PittMoss is raising on Wefunder.
SenoGuard
SenoGuard is pioneering a transformative approach to breast cancer treatment by offering a radiation-free alternative following lumpectomy. Their innovative technology utilizes cryoablation—freezing residual cancer cells during surgery—to eliminate the need for weeks of post-operative radiation. This method significantly reduces patient burden, especially for the 28% who face barriers like distance, cost, or time constraints. Supported by National Science Foundation grants, SenoGuard's solution is designed to be accessible in community hospitals, expanding treatment options globally. Led by a seasoned team with over a century of combined experience in women's healthcare, SenoGuard is committed to enhancing patient outcomes and accessibility.
