“Satoshi Is Female” Movement Gains More Momentum at Blockchain for Impact Global Summit

Press Release – New York, New York. The Decade Of Women campaign — a worldwide solutions campaign dedicated to completing the Equity Revolution— is helping amplify the “Satoshi Is Female” movement as it continues to gain momentum, as highlighted at Monday’s Blockchain For Impact Summit at the UN Headquarters in New York.
“Satoshi is Female” (www.satoshiisfemale.com) is a metaphor for a more optimistic, global and inclusive future and is a movement to flip the 1% and empower 100 million people to build an inclusive, collaborative, and community-driven future, starting with women and girls worldwide.
“We believe Blockchain technology is an opportunity to build new systems that are power-with instead of power over,” said movement founder Nyla Rodgers. “Our goal is not only that women and people of color are included in the space, but that they are the equal innovators. I believe it is the people who were formerly left out of the current system, who if given access, will be the creators of a system that benefits all. It will take leader brands like 5th Element Group and epic, action-oriented convenings like Blockchain For Impact to achieve that goal.”
Proceeds from all movement merchandise benefit Mama Hope, an NGO founded by Rodgers to help create flourishing communities all across the world in part by unlocking the combined potential of frontier technologies and gender equity.
The BFI Summit was energized around the cause when Vincent Molinari, founder of BFI founding sponsor 5th Element Group, revealed himself to be dressed in a “Satoshi Is Female” t-shirt in front of hundreds of speakers, panelists and participants at the event which took place at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
“To our team, Satoshi Is Female is about recognizing the importance of blockchain’s potential to make present empathy and collaboration in unprecedented ways,” Molinari said. “If we roll back layers of who we are and allow ourselves to be fully present, we will see the profoundly female attributes of this technology that can create a better sense of our shared humanity, and a better planet.”
Blockchain for Impact, founded by Global Partnerships Forum, 5th Element Group, PVBLIC Foundation and SDG Systems, is inviting visionary industry stakeholders representing the full breadth of the blockchain ecosystem into a robust, future-based, multi-track global conversation about social innovation, fair and consistent public policy, and responsible guidelines for industry governance. On June 4, these thought leaders from a wide variety of industries and nations came together for the inaugural event: the first global Blockchain for Impact Summit.
Molinari spoke on a panel titled “How Blockchain Can Fuel Blended Impact Finance to Scale the SDGs.” The panel was moderated by Joseph Barisonzi, a partner at SDG Systems, and also included Neelman Brar, founder and CEO of Blockhous, and Tony DiMatteo, CEO of Lottery.com. Sustainable Development Goal #5, promoting gender equality, was a particular focus of the panel, since achieving this objective, the panelists contended, will further help to achieve and exponentiate all of the other SDGs.
