San Diego Tempeh Featured Among New Impact Offerings - April 20, 2026
This Week's New Crowdfund Offerings With Social Impact, Minority, and Women Founders
You can advertise in Superpowers for Good. Click to learn more.
Each week, Superpowers for Good shares a list of all the new investment offerings added to FINRA-registered crowdfunding portals and by broker-dealers. We focus on and list first those with social impact and underrepresented founders. We also add other newly launched offerings that may be of interest to our community. We’ll share four separate lists:
Impact offerings determined by our proprietary analysis.
Offerings with minority founders.
Deals with women founders.
Other new offerings added during the week.
Sometimes, it takes weeks for our source to determine that a company has a social impact, a woman, or a minority founder. When we discover an offering qualifies for our list, even if it is no longer new, we will include it. See the lists below.

SuperCrowd Social Impact Offerings of the Week:
San Diego Tempeh is raising funds on Wefunder. Founded by Max Petrich, with partner Luke Abbott, the company is a cultured foods business focused on producing premium tempeh and other fermented products for health-conscious consumers. What began seven years ago at local farmers markets has grown into one of Southern California’s recognized tempeh brands, known for clean-label, whole-food offerings that support gut health and nutrition. San Diego Tempeh has expanded distribution into Erewhon and more than 200 high-end retail and foodservice accounts, demonstrating strong grassroots traction and growing consumer demand. The company has generated more than $1 million in lifetime revenue, including approximately $315,000 in 2025, while remaining fully bootstrapped with no outside investment. In addition to its flagship tempeh products, the business has broadened its portfolio into boutique fermented foods such as aminos and kraut, creating multiple revenue opportunities within the fast-growing natural foods market. The current crowdfunding campaign aims to raise $400,000 to double production capacity, purchase equipment, and improve operating efficiency as the company scales. San Diego Tempeh is also offering investors equity with profit distributions and is targeting $2 million in annual revenue by 2030. With an established brand, proven demand, expanding retail footprint, and a mission to ferment the future of food, San Diego Tempeh is positioned for continued growth in the premium functional foods sector. SuperCrowd Minority Founders Offerings of the Week:
Attorney Shield, with a valuation of $15.55 million, is raising funds on Highlander. Founded and led by CEO David C. Walton, the company is a legal-tech platform redefining affordable access to real-time legal support through a mobile app that connects users with trained attorneys during law-enforcement-initiated encounters. Attorney Shield provides immediate, on-demand assistance for situations such as traffic stops, domestic calls, and other high-stakes interactions, helping users understand their rights, obligations, and next steps while promoting safer and more informed outcomes. The company is addressing a major gap in the U.S. legal services market, where millions face recurring legal exposure but often lack timely and affordable professional representation. Built on a subscription-based recurring revenue model, Attorney Shield offers individual and family memberships, along with expanding B2B partnerships through affiliates, employers, and associations. The company has demonstrated strong early traction with more than 12,000 enrolled members, including over 8,700 active paid members nationwide, generating approximately $426,000 in FY2025 revenue and more than $813,000 in cumulative revenue. The platform has already been used in over 2,300 live emergency legal support incidents, validating real-world demand and utility. Attorney Shield reports a 95% “Extremely Valuable” satisfaction rating, strong engagement metrics, and annual churn of approximately 10.7%, indicating meaningful customer loyalty. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand beyond emergency response into preventative legal services across housing, estate planning, debt collection, family matters, and labor law, positioning itself as a broader always-accessible legal protection platform. With recurring revenue, growing market adoption, scalable partnerships, and a defensible live-service model enhanced by technology, Attorney Shield aims to transform legal protection into an immediate, practical, and everyday service for millions of Americans. SuperCrowd Women Founders Offerings of the Week:
Colored Girl's Cuisine is raising funds on Honeycomb Credit. Founded and owned by Celestine Palmer, the company is a Southern soul food business specializing in scratch-made catering and takeout offerings rooted in traditional cooking techniques and authentic family-inspired recipes. Colored Girl's Cuisine serves its local market with a curated menu of premium Southern dishes, positioning itself as a distinctive provider of high-quality comfort food for both everyday customers and special events. The business is a certified woman-owned, minority-owned company and is recognized as the first of its kind in the local area, creating a unique presence in its community. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has successfully completed two specialty catered events and reported increasing volume from new clients, demonstrating growing demand and strong word-of-mouth traction. Colored Girl's Cuisine differentiates itself through artisanal, from-scratch preparation and specialty menu items that are not widely available in the surrounding region, supporting repeat business across consumer and event channels. The current crowdfunding campaign will be used to lease a larger restaurant space with an expanded kitchen and upgraded equipment, enabling the company to increase production capacity, improve efficiency, and take on more catering opportunities. The expansion is also expected to support the launch of a full-service restaurant operation, creating new revenue streams and attracting additional customers. With authentic cuisine, increasing market traction, and a scalable growth plan, Colored Girl's Cuisine aims to become a leading destination for Southern soul food in its region.
