When we created the PurposeBuilt100™, we wanted to challenge an assumption that still hangs over too many conversations about business and impact: that purpose is somehow a constraint on growth.
The inaugural rankings tell a much more interesting story.
We screened thousands of public and private companies, looking first for meaningful social or environmental impact. Only companies that cleared that hurdle could qualify. Then—and only then—we ranked the qualifying companies based on geometric revenue growth from 2021 through 2025.
The shorthand became: qualified by impact, ranked by growth.
What emerged is a remarkably diverse collection of businesses. They are tackling health, climate, housing, financial inclusion, education, workforce development and other challenges. Some are tiny compared with the public companies on the list. Others generate hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars in annual revenue.
Rather than spend another few thousand words telling you what that looks like, I’d rather show you.
Here are the four rankings that, taken together, tell the PurposeBuilt100™ story.
Women Founder/CEO Top Ten
Among the 100 PurposeBuilt100™ winners, 24 companies are still led by women who were members of their companies’ founding teams. We ranked those 24 using the same geometric growth methodology as the overall PurposeBuilt100™.
That qualification matters. These aren’t executives recruited to run already-established enterprises. They are women who helped create the businesses and remain at the helm as those companies scale.

Tampon Tribe, Inc. — California
Aquacycl Inc. — California
Caladrius Therapy, PLLC — North Carolina
BabyQuip, Inc. — New Mexico
Momentum Coffee Holdings Inc — Illinois
Coje Consultants Inc — Florida
Mission Enrollment Strategy Solutions, LLC — California
Bamboo Services Inc — Georgia
29Bison - Public Benefit, LLC — Pennsylvania
The list is a useful reminder that the entrepreneurial journey doesn’t end with founding. Building an impact company that survives, grows and scales while its founder continues to lead may be an even greater accomplishment.
Environmental Solutions Top Ten
The Environmental Solutions Top Ten highlights PurposeBuilt100™ companies whose businesses directly address environmental challenges. These companies first qualified for the overall ranking and were then ranked within the environmental group using the same growth methodology.
The common thread is especially encouraging: these companies aren’t generally asking customers to sacrifice economics for sustainability. Their environmental solutions often create economic value.
No. 1 Azure Printed Homes provides a vivid example. The company uses 3D printing and recycled polymers to build structures faster and more affordably while diverting material from waste streams.
As co-founder and CEO Gene Eidelman put it, “For us, impact isn’t an added cost—it’s part of what makes the business scalable.”

That may be one of the most important lessons in the entire PurposeBuilt100™: some of the strongest impact models work precisely because the impact and economics reinforce one another.
The 2026 PurposeBuilt100™
And now, the list at the center of it all.
My Diabetes Tutor, based in Hanford, California, claimed the inaugural No. 1 ranking. Founded and led by Dr. Prem Sahasranam—known as Dr. Sahas—the company helps people manage diabetes through education. Company data show participants improving their A1C results by 1.6 points.
Dr. Sahas captured the connection between impact and expansion beautifully: “Growth matters because growth means we can help more people.”
That sentence could almost serve as the motto for the PurposeBuilt100™.

The breadth of that list is part of what makes it compelling. There is no single impact-business archetype here. Public companies sit alongside privately held businesses. Health companies appear beside manufacturers, financial firms, consumer brands, energy companies and professional services businesses.
Purpose can take a lot of forms.
Big Impact Players Top Ten
Finally, we asked a different question.
The overall PurposeBuilt100™ rewards geometric growth—how dramatically a business multiplied its revenue between 2021 and 2025. That naturally gives smaller companies an opportunity to rank highly when they grow extraordinarily fast.
The Big Impact Players ranking looks at the same pool of qualified companies through another lens: absolute revenue growth, calculated as 2025 revenue minus 2021 revenue.
These are businesses that didn’t merely grow rapidly enough to make the PurposeBuilt100™. They added enormous amounts of revenue while doing it.

What the First PurposeBuilt100™ Taught Me
The PurposeBuilt100™ was designed as a recognition program, but in its first year it also became something of an experiment.
We asked whether we could find businesses across America that combine meaningful impact with extraordinary growth.
The answer wasn’t subtle.
We found far more than 100.
That matters because the case for impact entrepreneurship becomes stronger when we stop treating purpose merely as something admirable and start recognizing it as something that can be built into scalable businesses.
My Diabetes Tutor is scaling health impact. Azure Printed Homes is scaling environmental solutions. Women founders are building and continuing to lead high-growth companies. Public companies with enormous revenue bases are demonstrating that impact businesses can operate at genuine scale.
None of these rankings proves that purpose automatically produces growth. Business is much harder than that.
But the PurposeBuilt100™ does demonstrate something worth celebrating: companies do not have to leave their purpose behind in order to grow.
In some of the most exciting companies we found, purpose may be part of the reason they can.
