Impact offerings determined by our proprietary analysis.
Offerings with minority founders.
Deals with women founders.
Those with LGBTQ founders.
Sometimes, it takes weeks for our source to determine that a company has a social impact, a woman, minority or LGBTQ founder. When we discover an offering qualifies for our list, even if it is no longer new, we will include it. See the lists below.

In the evolving landscape of U.S. economic development, traditional funding mechanisms often fall short in addressing the needs of small businesses, especially those in underserved communities. Investment crowdfunding, particularly under Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF), has emerged as a transformative tool, democratizing access to capital and fostering inclusive economic growth.
The Rise of Investment Crowdfunding
Enacted as part of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act in 2012, Reg CF allows companies to raise up to $5 million annually from both accredited and non-accredited investors through SEC-registered platforms. This regulatory framework has opened new avenues for startups and small businesses to secure funding without the traditional barriers associated with venture capital or bank loans.
Since its implementation, investment crowdfunding has facilitated over $2.5 billion in capital raised from more than 2 million investors, supporting a diverse array of businesses across the nation.

Introducing SuperCrowd Voices: A New Way to Be Heard
The SuperCrowd Has a Voice
In 2012, I deliberately began this journey, starting a newsletter called Your Mark on the World and simultaneously contributing to Forbes. What began as a personal commitment to amplify social impact has become something much larger: a platform, a community, and now a movement—what we call The SuperCrowd.
Over the next eight years, I wrote more than 500 articles for Forbes and a comparable number for Your Mark on the World. I retained the copyright to my Forbes work, enabling me to republish it and share it with my own growing community. This strategy allowed me to build a loyal subscriber base that was hungry for stories of impact—stories about people using business and finance to solve the world’s biggest problems.
As I covered impact investing and social entrepreneurship, I quickly gravitated to regulated investment crowdfunding—a new legal structure, passed into law just four months before I began at Forbes. This space felt like home. It was practical, powerful, and full of possibility. I soon found myself in touch with many of the original architects and advocates of the JOBS Act. Those early relationships formed the roots of what we now call The SuperCrowd.
In the years since, I’ve continued to write, speak, host, invest, and build in this space. I’ve also served on the board of the Crowdfunding Professional Association for nearly a decade. But more importantly, I’ve been privileged to help grow a network of people like you—founders, investors, and community builders who believe that capital can serve the common good.
That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce our newest initiative: SuperCrowd Voices from the Community.
What Is SuperCrowd Voices?
SuperCrowd Voices is a new section of the Superpowers for Good newsletter, dedicated to sharing the authentic stories, insights, and reflections of our community—the people building the future of impact crowdfunding.
We published our first piece on Monday, an inspiring piece from FundingHope founder and CEO

Jay discusses his path from angel investing to becoming CEO of Burble to promote conscious capitalism.

Jay encourages community investment via crowdfunding to support Burble's mission and social impact.
From Setback to Supermom Solution: Suphy Kung’s GillyGro Journey

When Suphy Kung was laid off from her role at Tesla in 2019, she didn’t see it as the end. She saw it as the beginning.
“My entrepreneurial journey began after a corporate layoff,” Kung says. “It opened the door to e-commerce.” She started experimenting with Amazon selling, sourcing products wholesale from Alibaba. But success didn’t come overnight. “I struggled to find the right product,” she recalls. Still, Kung had a powerful asset most new entrepreneurs lack: a deep background in solving business problems as an organizational effectiveness consultant.
“I had spent years helping companies solve problems, so I knew how to spot a real need,” she explains. That skill would soon help her identify a gap in the market—one that was hiding in plain sight.
After reading thousands of Amazon reviews, Kung saw a common frustration voiced by parents: no diaper bag did it all. “It reminded me of my own struggles as a new mom many years ago,” she says. She also noticed something else: disorganized outings often created unnecessary stress for parents, sometimes even straining relationships. Post-pandemic hygiene concerns had only made things worse.
Motivated to solve these everyday challenges, Kung teamed up with two fellow moms to design something radically better. “We created the ultimate Swiss Army-style parent backpack,” she says. “It features a built-in booster seat, an extra-large mat, and a sleek, unisex design that even dads love to carry.”
