Jake’s Dollars & Diapers Fundraising Campaign
Jake’s Diapers announces its Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign
Press Release – (Northeast Wisconsin) A local nonprofit, dedicated to eliminating the choice between food and diapers for families is asking the public to stretch the impact of a dollar during its Dollars & Diapers campaign for Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019.
Through the Dollars & Diapers Campaign on Giving Tuesday (December 3), Jake’s hopes to make a greater impact by providing more diapers and basic hygiene products to those in need. When a family struggling financially is gifted diapers, it’s one less worry and they are able to buy other necessities like food and medicine.
“While we always appreciate product donations, we are able to make monetary donations go much further thanks to our corporate partners,” explained Stephanie Bowers, founder of the nonprofit, 501(c)(3) Jake’s Diapers. “We are able to purchase additional diaper supplies at a lower cost, so every dollar donated goes a long way.”
Donations will be distributed by Jake’s to more than a dozen partner agencies throughout Northeast Wisconsin; from Oconto, Shawano and Wautoma to Brown County to Outagamie County and Winnebago County. Partner agencies receiving diapers and basic hygiene products include nonprofit agencies like Golden House, Family Services and others.
A financial donation can really make a big impact. Some examples include:
$30 provides diapers for a child for one month
$50 can supply period products for five girls for one month
$180 provides a six-month supply of diapers for one child
Through the Dollars & Diapers campaign, Jake’s Diapers is looking for support in a variety of ways:
Personal donations and fundraisers
Company fundraising
Company diaper collections
“Having a dollars and diapers drive during this season of giving can be a great activity for churches, companies and organizations,” added Bowers. ”We hope on Giving Tuesday, people consider donating to Jake’s.”
People can make a donation online at jakesdiapers.org and click the donate tab. Jake’s also accepts donations by mail: Jake’s Diapers 1775 Bohm Drive, Little Chute, WI 54140. Anyone interested in learning more, or partnering with Jake’s, contact Stephanie Bowers at (920) 257-7890.
