ImpactFlow Raises Nearly $6M to Support Rapid Growth; Expands Streamlined Platform for Connecting Businesses and Nonprofits
Funding to support company’s foray into new markets; updated platform features intuitive dashboard, so giving back is easier than ever
PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 11, 2015 – ImpactFlow, an innovative company that connects businesses and individuals with nonprofits to foster community giving, today announced it has closed $5.7 million in funding in the form of equity and options. Led by a group of angel investors based in Northern California, the funds will be used to increase ImpactFlow’s staff of sales, marketing and engineering professionals to support its rapid expansion into new markets.
“I’m humbled by the enthusiastic response we’ve received from investors who share our passion and vision in bridging the gap between nonprofits, businesses and the communities they serve,” said Tyler Foreman, chief executive officer and co-founder of ImpactFlow. “The investors leading this round of funding offer us the opportunity to empower nonprofits of all sizes to connect with businesses and individuals to deepen the impact of their efforts.”
ImpactFlow provides a ground-breaking online platform that eliminates numerous barriers in the fundraising process, so donors can contribute more effectively. Individuals and companies can discover and support nonprofits in their local community or beyond and build mutually beneficial relationships through events, sponsorships and direct giving programs.
ImpactFlow’s automated matching system connects nonprofits with businesses looking to engage in similar philanthropic areas, reducing the time nonprofits need to spend searching for funds and partners. Traditionally, many online fundraising platforms charge high transaction fees. ImpactFlow is free for nonprofits to join and offers one of the lowest processing fees in the industry. Organizations such as Community Cycling Center and the D Wright Way Foundation have already leveraged the platform to deepen the impact of their programs.
“As a local non-profit, we’re very limited in the tools and resources we have to showcase our programs and work directly with businesses in the community,” said Mia Wright, executive director of the D Wright Way Foundation. “ImpactFlow’s easy-to-use online platform provides a one-stop shop for us to connect directly with businesses and individuals that share our common interests and want to give back in a meaningful way. With ImpactFlow, we’re able to take it a step further and show how donations are really making a difference and impacting our work day in and day out, creating a long-lasting relationship with the businesses and community members that engage with us through the platform.”
ImpactFlow has recently announced several new updates to its online platform:
A redesigned dashboard – The updated dashboard is more intuitive for users, making it even easier to go beyond giving. From the dashboard, businesses, nonprofits or individuals can manage every aspect of their giving, providing a central location to monitor and track donations in real time.
Bolstered fundraising event capabilities – Now, both businesses and nonprofits can host or participate in events to raise funds for a nonprofit. And with the redesigned dashboard, supporting an event is easier than ever. In a central online location, users can manage every aspect, from monitoring ticket sales and sending invitations to lining up complementary sponsors and transferring event proceeds directly to the nonprofit.
Built-in social media tools and analytics – The new Impact Amplifier tools make it extremely easy to engage socially with a target audience. Nonprofits and businesses can create custom hashtags, discover and engage with influencers, share optimized messages to their networks, and track social reach over time.
ImpactFlow currently has more than 600 nonprofits in its database and has partnered with a growing number of businesses, primarily in markets such as Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and San Francisco, California. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, the company is growing its workforce to keep up with demand and will soon be moving into a new 4,000 square foot space that will feature unassigned seating to create a collaborative work environment reflective of the ImpactFlow culture.
