When Spirit Airlines shut down in May, one video asked a simple question: what if passengers bought the airline? 175 million views later, that idea has become First Jet Airways — and nearly 7,900 people have already invested. Here are this week’s featured offerings, with every other new offering in the tables below.
This week’s featured offerings
Social Impact — First Jet Airways: a low-cost airline owned and governed by its members · Wefunder
Women in Leadership — EpiBone: living bone and cartilage grown from a patient’s own stem cells · Wefunder
Underrepresented Founder Leadership — Adams Four Shopping Center: a community-owned shopping center in Wilmington, Delaware · Silicon Prairie
Social Impact Offering of the Week: First Jet Airways
Portal: Wefunder · Founders: Hunter Peterson (Founder and Co-CEO) and Tom Hsieh (Co-CEO), with a team from aviation, media and community ownership
About the company: First Jet Airways is building a low-cost U.S. airline owned and governed by its members — “Costco for the skies.” It began as Hunter’s viral video after Spirit Airlines shut down, drawing 175M+ views and 371,000 pledges worth $337M. When buying Spirit became too risky, the team returned all $2.2M raised and pivoted to building a new airline, with first flights targeted for summer 2029.
The offering: preferred stock at a $95.7M pre-money valuation with a $45 minimum investment. The first goal is hit, with more than $1.66M from 7,882 investors. This round is one part of a planned $260M capital program; FAA and DOT approvals are still ahead.
Women in Leadership Offering of the Week: EpiBone
Portal: Wefunder · Founders: CEO Nina Tandon and CSO and co-founder Sarindr Bhumiratana
About the company: EpiBone grows living bone and cartilage from a patient’s own adult stem cells, aiming to repair joints rather than mask pain for the 595 million people with osteoarthritis. Spun out of Columbia and MIT’s Langer Lab, it is the only company with FDA IND clearances for both stem cell bone and cartilage grafts. Six patients have been implanted with zero product-related adverse events, and it holds $2.5M in U.S. Air Force contracts.
The offering: preferred stock at a $122M pre-money valuation ($1.14 per share) with a $250 minimum, joining $50M+ already raised from investors including Kendall Capital Partners. Open to existing investors first until October 21 at 3:00 PM ET.
Underrepresented Founder Leadership Offering of the Week: Adams Four Shopping Center
Portal: Silicon Prairie · Lead: Lyneir Richardson, The Chicago TREND Corporation
About the project: Adams Four is a service-oriented shopping center on West 4th Street in Wilmington, Delaware’s West Center City neighborhood. TREND is opening ownership to the community — especially the neighbors it serves — while prioritizing locally owned and minority-owned tenants and local jobs. This is TREND’s eighth community investment offering, with plans for up to 12 community shopping centers.
The offering: preferred equity at $1.00 per share with a $1,000 minimum, raising $100,000 to $1.548M by December 20, 2026. Investors share up to 49% of cash flow and sale proceeds over a planned 10-year hold. Up to 25 investors who live or work in ZIP codes 19801, 19805 or 19807 can receive a $1,000 matching grant from Impact Charitable.
SuperCrowd connection: Lyneir Richardson is an Impact Member of the SuperCrowd and has been featured on the Superpowers for Good show and at SuperCrowd26.
