Blockchain Technology Could Revolutionize Global Logistics

Eric Piscini, CEO of Citizens Reserve, joined me to discuss the startup’s efforts to revolutionize global logistics.

He envisions the ability to scan a code on a toothpick flag on your perfectly prepared steak, to see where exactly it came from, all the way back to the birth of the cow. In addition, he says, the device can even track the temperature controls along the logistics chain, to know that the meat is safe to eat.

Improving logistics can significantly improve the way that we validate the safety and efficacy of drugs and vaccines, potentially improving global health.

Streamlining logistics could also drive reductions in transportation costs, reducing carbon emissions.

Citizens Reserve is raising money via a Regulation D 506 C offering, available only to accredited investors. Eric hopes to raise another $40 million, having already raised about $12 million.
