Blockchain Technology Could Revolutionize Global Logistics
Eric Piscini, CEO of Citizens Reserve, joined me to discuss the startup’s efforts to revolutionize global logistics.
He envisions the ability to scan a code on a toothpick flag on your perfectly prepared steak, to see where exactly it came from, all the way back to the birth of the cow. In addition, he says, the device can even track the temperature controls along the logistics chain, to know that the meat is safe to eat.
Improving logistics can significantly improve the way that we validate the safety and efficacy of drugs and vaccines, potentially improving global health.
Streamlining logistics could also drive reductions in transportation costs, reducing carbon emissions.
Citizens Reserve is raising money via a Regulation D 506 C offering, available only to accredited investors. Eric hopes to raise another $40 million, having already raised about $12 million.

SUKU aims to transform supply chains through its revolutionary blockchain- powered ecosystem. By providing Supply-Chain-as-a-Service, we plan to deliver enterprises an unprecedented level of efficiency, transparency, and collaboration.
More about Citizens Reserve:
Citizens Reserve is a technology startup led by some of the most prominent experts in blockchain, financial services, technology, supply chain, and professional services. Citizens Reserve recently unveiled SUKU, a blockchain-based ecosystem that aims to make supply chains more efficient, transparent, and secure by offering a supply-chain-as-a-service platform to enterprises, enabling businesses to provide more responsible sourcing and sustainable production.
SUKU’s platform plans to be an on-demand, open, decentralized software distribution model which will allow technology partners to build applications and services that are utilized by supply chain participants in a continually evolving, self-sustaining ecosystem. Many businesses are currently using several supply chain platforms at a time, which can be unorganized and lead to loss of product or other issues. In contrast, SUKU’s ‘supply chain-as-a-service’ platform utilizes blockchain to simplify global logistics, creating one central location for cross-continent business partners to communicate, agree on deals, and track the location and status of products.
