What is the purpose of your crowdfunding campaign?
The money that was raised, was given to the small village. It was used to buy chairs and desks for children so they don’t have to sit on the dirty floor. This may seem like a small thing but it goes a long way for children just to have access to these simple necessities.

What is the purpose of your crowdfunding campaign?
Support more projects in India to better increase the quality of life of women and children in hospitals as well as their homes and environments. Also to fund projects near the local community which goes to my idea of creating a mentor group for people who are addicted to negative influences so they can be influenced by a positive impact to make a better life for themselves.

My name is Harun Vemulapalli, and I am a Freshman at Dutchtown High School. I am involved in Cross Country, National Beta Club, LA State Speech and Debate Team, Student Council, Track, and EKAM. I got involved with EKAM through a family friend, Neelima, and was immediately interested in the idea of increasing the quality of life in India such as women and children and maybe one day, all over the world. With EKAM I have done a crowdfunding campaign to raise 850 dollars to support the needs of a child care center in Orrapam, India. I am motivated to help others in need since others are not as privileged as I am. I want to help provide materials and tools so people can create opportunities to live a successful and healthy life and to make a change in the world, one small step at a time. I believe that the sports I am in have given me the mental confidence and determination to better serve in EKAM to try and create bigger impacts around our local communities, for example, our local food shelter, as well as international like in India and etc.
