A trio of remarkable teenagers, with support from remarkable parents, have been crowdfunding on Johnson & Johnson’s CaringCrowd to improve the health and education of children in India. The young people, Abhay Basireddy, Harun Vemulapalli and Harsha Vatsavayi, are youth ambassadors for Ekam USA, which was founded by Abhay’s mother, Neelima Reddy, a gastroenterologist, as a sister organization to Ekam Foundation, which was founded by Sai Lakshmi Balijepally. CaringCrowd is a simple-to-use crowdfunding platform that enables the Youth Ambassadors to quickly set up campaigns to raise money for specific Ekam projects.
