What You’ll Find Here
Stories of Extraordinary Changemakers
The Superpowers for Good show features candid conversations with people working to solve some of humanity’s greatest challenges.
We explore what they are building, who they serve and what they have learned. Then we identify the personal strength—their “superpower”—that helps them succeed.
The goal isn’t simply to admire remarkable people. It is to help you recognize and develop the same strengths in yourself.
Episodes are available here on Substack and through SuperCrowd.tv, e360tv, YouTube and leading podcast platforms.
Impact Investing Open to Everyone
You don’t have to be wealthy to invest in companies working to improve the world.
Each week, we examine investment crowdfunding opportunities available to ordinary investors. We highlight ventures creating social or environmental impact, along with companies led by women, people of color, LGBTQ founders and other entrepreneurs who have historically received too little capital.
Our coverage is designed to help you find opportunities—not to replace your own judgment. Investing involves risk, and impact does not guarantee financial success. We believe readers deserve both inspiration and honest analysis.
Ideas You Can Put to Work
Our essays explore social entrepreneurship, impact investing, leadership, crowdfunding and the difficult work of creating meaningful change.
Some are practical. Some are personal. Some may challenge your thinking.
All are written for people who want to do more good without pretending that changing the world is easy.
A Weekly Way to Keep Up

Why I Created Superpowers for Good
I’m Devin Thorpe.
More than a decade ago, I began searching for people tackling the world’s most difficult problems—and sharing what I learned from them.
Since then, I have produced more than 1,200 interviews with changemakers, including global leaders, pioneering entrepreneurs and people whose names you may never have heard but whose work deserves the world’s attention.
As a Forbes contributor, I wrote more than 500 articles about social entrepreneurship and impact investing, reaching millions of readers. My books have been read more than one million times, and I have helped nonprofits and entrepreneurs raise millions of dollars through crowdfunding.
Before becoming a full-time champion of social good, I worked as an investment banker, chief financial officer, treasurer and U.S. Senate staffer. I earned an MBA from Cornell University and later served as president of the Crowdfunding Professional Association.
Today, I am the CEO of The Super Crowd, Inc., a public benefit corporation dedicated to making money a force for good. I also serve as executive producer and host of the Superpowers for Good show, editor-in-chief of this publication and host of SuperCrowd events.
I have traveled the world as a journalist, speaker and volunteer. Along the way, I have learned something both humbling and encouraging:
The people who change the world are rarely superheroes.
They are ordinary people who decide that a problem matters too much to ignore. They develop courage, empathy, patience, optimism and resilience by putting those qualities to work.
I’m also short enough to tolerate the middle seat on an airplane, which has proved surprisingly useful.

You Are Not Alone
Changing the world is hard.
Progress can be frustratingly slow. The problems can feel impossibly large. Even the most committed changemakers sometimes wonder whether their efforts matter.
They do.
Every meaningful movement begins with people who believe improvement is possible before the evidence is obvious.
Superpowers for Good exists to introduce those people to one another, amplify their work and help each of us find our own role in building a better future.
Come learn with us.
Come invest with purpose.
